About Us

North Wales, 4 mountain ranges, 250 miles of coastline, 2 world heritage sites and a unique culture. Magic and inspiration everywhere... AND CRICKET in abundance…

The League consists of 39 Clubs with 82 senior sides playing in 7 leagues, and 79 Junior sides playing in 8 leagues, that adds up to a lot of people enjoying themselves playing  the noble game in North Wales.

For a team sport, cricket places individual players under unusual scrutiny and pressure. Bowler, batsman, and fielder all act essentially independently of each other. While team managements can signal bowler or batsman to pursue certain tactics, the execution of the play itself is a series of solitary acts.

Cricket is a unique game where in addition to the laws, the players have to abide by the "Spirit of the Game". The standard of sportsmanship has historically been considered so high that the phrase "it's just not cricket" was coined in the 19th century to describe unfair or underhanded behavior in any walk of life.

With so many children in the game we need to ensure a safe, effective and child friendly environment in cricket, the ECB’s Clubmark accreditation process ensures our clubs follow and adhere to these values.

Bob Sugden is the Chairman of the League, and with his and the committees vision and guidance, we hope to see cricket in North Wales prosper.
